About Massimo Trumpet Studio

Personalized trumpet instruction built on professional performance experience, practical musicianship, and long-term student growth.

Helping Students Build Real Musical Skills

At Massimo Trumpet Studio, he believes trumpet lessons should do more than teach notes and exercises. His goal is to help students become confident, capable musicians who can read, perform, improvise, and continue developing long after a lesson ends. He proudly serves students throughout South Bay and the Greater Los Angeles Area, including El Segundo, Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, Hawthorne, Westchester, Marina del Rey, Playa del Rey, Culver City, Venice, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and surrounding communities.

Instruction is led by Massimo, a trumpet performer, educator, arranger, and coach with approximately 18 years of professional performance experience and conservatory training from the New England Conservatory in Boston. His background includes earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Jazz Performance while developing advanced skills in ear training, sight-reading, jazz harmony, composition, arranging, and professional musicianship.

Throughout his career, Massimo has performed across 39 countries through international touring and cruise ship contracts, appearing at respected venues including the Monterey Jazz Festival, Dizzy’s Club, Smalls Jazz Club, The Lighthouse Cafe, Jordan Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. His professional experience spans jazz, funk, soul, pop, R&B, indie, hip hop, and blues performance, along with studio recording, remote session work, ensemble leadership, and educational instruction.

What separates his approach is the combination of traditional trumpet fundamentals with practical, real-world performance skills. Students learn tone production, articulation, reading fluency, improvisation, ear training, range development, endurance, and musical problem-solving through structured lessons tailored to their individual goals. Whether working with a middle school band student, a high school musician preparing for auditions, an adult returning to trumpet, or a professional performer seeking artistic growth, he focuses on helping each student become a more independent and versatile musician.

His commitment is simple: provide dependable instruction, honest feedback, personalized coaching, and a clear path toward meaningful musical progress.
